Elemental Duality
Looking over to my left feels odd not having your warm body snoozing beside me, with one leg upon me or an arm sprawled across my chest. Missing the flood of memories when I look up and see these coat hangers that once hung both of our clothes.
A synchronized and bittersweet period of time to experience separation and loss. What a bizarre, yet awakening moment in existence to analyze such a rollercoaster of beauty and pain crash down, in slow motion.
But it’s better now for both of us. Balance. Just like this piece, which I’ve finally given up on editing it and now it is complete. It’s been like, 3 years in the making, even though it’s a quite simple, yet deeply symbolic design.

"Totality" Solar Eclipse 2017
Title: "Totality" Solar Eclipse 2017
Date: August 15th 2017
Original Size: 22in x 30in
Media: Ink pen, acrylic paint pen
This piece was made with inspiration from the Total Solar Eclipse that happened this year in Oregon on August 21st 2017. I entitle this Totality in reference to the complete oneness within the natural elements intertwined together. I included the solar eclipse phases, the duality between sun and moon, with fractals and a lotus flower, all together with water and fire opposing one other yet still need the other. This represents complete balance I advocate for within the external world around us, and more importantly the internal balance we all live to strive to achieve. Bassnectar's music (the main symbol in the middle) has sent me into another realm. For many years I have used his music to heal my soul and my body-physically and emotionally. The frequencies, sounds, bass, and energy he releases vicariously melts into me. That vision of his music became what you see in this piece. Thank you for helping me with your sound without even knowing, Lorin Ashton, during the darkest and hardest phase of my journey.
Skin Inversion
Title: Skin Inversion
Media: Fingerprint painting with stamp ink, ink pen, acrylic paint
Original Size: 11in x 18in (each)
Date: November 2016
These pieces were based on the concept of suffering by pulling on the eyes in self agony and stress. The details of fingerprints/microscopic look of pores on our skin are the circle fractal designs in the corners. This is an evaluation of bodily outer layers and the delicate intricacy of fingerprints to portray individuality. I used graphite pencil to sketch the contour lines of my intended designs and used ink stamp pad with my finger to create the eyes. I used ink pen around and on the eyes and fingerprint lines around the lids.
Goddess Power
Title: Goddess Power
Date: March 2015
Original Size: 10.5in x 14in
Media: Ink pen
This piece shows a story of a strong and dominant woman unlocking power through a hierarchical pyramid. I feel as if many individuals are unconsciously following their "road" to bliss, working our way up the pyramid in our corporate-run jobs. We seem so confined in this metaphorical pyramid and to escape we should use our third eye to see past that inhibiting path carved out for us. To avoid wasting our existence to solely be work-to-survive slaves.
Lovers to Strangers
Title: Lovers to Strangers
Date: May 28th 2015
Original Size: 32in x 30in
Media: Hand drawn with ink pen & acrylic paint pen
4 years ago on this day, I gave my heart to the first and only individual I have ever experienced romantic love with. We spent two years every day of our high school lives with one another. In those times, we were in the beginning phase of self exploration. We began to understand ourselves, deeply analyze our minds, decide what our wants and needs were, all while trying to decipher the mystery of our world around us. But in the midst of all this, we had failed to grow with each other and the universe forced us to take our own separate paths. I have thought about this person everyday for two years. It pains me to say that I can only see your face in my dreams, and almost every night it has pleasantly haunted me.
I do miss your memory. I wish I could say I knew about who you are now.
I wish I could have been as strong, positive, vibrant and self aware as I am now, but I truly couldn't have known without being on my own. I don't know who you have grown into or what you have learned or what memories you have had in the time being... I just know that your nostalgia aches me, and I don't think your energy will ever escape my soul. I hope for you to thrive in your dreams, love and balance yourself, laugh and smile brightly, create your fantasy, experience the wonders of people and your creative mind, grow with yourself and live a beautifully connected and happily fulfilled life.
"Separated Fractal"
Title: Separated Fractal
Date: December 2013
Original Size: 8.5in x 11in
Media: Ink pen
In this piece, I was inspired by what my parents once were. Their separation tore me apart, but more significantly, the external factors of the universe tore 30 years of marriage apart. With much time of acceptance and healing, I've realized it may be better this way. The family pain of my past is no longer raw, but only a scar of a memory now.
Completed in ink pen, I created this piece over several hours of intricate detailing. This piece was the beginning of my vision of people, balance and synchronicity which are themes seen in my later works. The middle spiral represents the external factors & limitations of the universe which diminished their relationship. I tried to portray elements of feminine/masculine energy within these silhouettes of my parents.

This piece represents a medicine that has healed me tremendously throughout the past four years. I have used cannabis as a mean to open my pineal gland, calm my racing thoughts, mitigate my nightly nightmares, slow down my chaotic emotional responses, and give me an appetite when I am too depressed to eat. It allows me to perceive the big picture yet still focuses me in on the deeper details in a positively altering, new perception. It stimulants me unlike any other substance or person.
Marijuana teaches me patience, kindness, intrapersonal & interpersonal connectedness. In this piece, I wanted to represent the balance that it brings me by inverting the two strains, indica and sativa- along with a perfect reflection of masculine and feminine divine energy. Surrounded by the sun, the moon, the stars the clouds- I show these symbolic and vital elements opposing one another to create a perfect “Mary Jane” duality.

"Darker Side of Self"
Title: Darker Side of Self
Date: December 2014
Original Size: 9in x 11in
Media: Ink pen, sharpie
This piece has a deep emphasis on depression washing over my self identity. This piece was drawn during a very dark time in my life and this portrait portrays my perception of who I became during that period. I show themes of aesthetic chaos and harmony. My internal strife (black/white) bleeds through scalp into an array of colors. "The blood stain, from my past pain, will remain."

Title: What The Festival 2017 Poster
Date: April 12th 2017
Original Size: 11in x 18in
Media: Ink pen, acrylic paint pen, minor editor touch ups
In this piece, I incorporated symbolic elements representing balance within the sun/moon, sky/roots and day/night. I represented nature symbols with pine trees, lotus flower, pine cones, sun rays, and stars with Mt. Adams on top and Mt. Hood reflecting on the bottom. I included fractals and pyramids with an all-encompassing third eye and sanpaku eyes watching over the scene. My emphasis was to portray synchronicity, interconnectedness, duality, and harmony. I like to perceive the eyes as a human vision, but if you look from afar you can see the facial structures of a wolf.

"Death to Chance"
Title: Death to Chance
Date: December 2014
Original Size: 8in x 11in
Media: Ink pen
This is mainly directed toward eliminating the idea of us existing through chance. My main themes would be promoting fate and determinism. The symmetry represents internal/external battles of balance. I intertwined the elements of symmetry representing internal/external harmony, brick walls to represent the blockage that we cannot control or prevent, and the third eye (of Horus) at the top of death, watching over and internalizing visions.
Sad Winter Sleeping Sunrise
Title: Sad Winter Morning Sunrise
Date: February 25th 2017
Original Size: 8in x 11in
Media: Bold ink pen
The symbol of the crying eye dripping into water represent the melting and melding of my current emotions. The sunrise and moon combination exemplifies the crisp nights I fell asleep to in bliss. It reminds me of the nostalgia from the cold mornings I used to wake up with the one I loved.

Eyes of Our I
Title: Eyes of Our I
Date: May 2015
Original Size: 8in x 8in
Media: Ink pen, acrylic paint pen
This is my representation of the importance of eyes, as they are the vital factors in our interpretation of our worlds. There are eyes interconnected through the center, starting the mandala-which expands outward into an eye flower.
In our eyes I see the skies of visions that always haunt me.

This mandala was originally created for a poster I planned to give to my favorite individual of all time @duncantrussell, but I soon decided that the entirety of the poster was not what I envisioned. So I am working to recreate a new extravagant piece for the one who truly altered my perspective in a positively beautiful way by using his words through his podcast. 💜
"Waterflower Upon My Back"
Title: Waterflower Upon My Back

I incorporated symbols of triangles and flower petals. This was similarly inspired by my "To my Eye-rish Lover-Shower Vision" piece but with an altered twist.
"Beginning of Awareness"

Original Size: 5.5in x 7.5in

"Awakening Dream Design Logo"
Title: Awakening Dream Designs Original Logo
Date: April 2015
Original Size: 10in x 8.5in
Media: Ink pen
Conceptual Meaning: This brand was my initial idea of branding myself, but then I decided to just use my name. Within the triangle design reads "ADD SM". I have many ideas revolving around an "Awakening Dream Oasis" sanctuary that I am going to create- but more about those ideas are explained on under the BIOGRAPHY tab on my website under MISSION STATEMENT.
WWU Swim Logo
Title: WWU Swim Logo
Date: December 2015
Original Size: 8in x 8in
Media: Ink pen
This was a design I made for my swim team to put on our shirts/merchandise to wear. Unfortunately, Western said they cannot use the logo officially that is skewed in anyway (even though I drew this by hand and didn't graphically edit their logo in it).
I intertwined the symbol of my school (mountains and water), waves for the water we swim in, and viking helmets to represent our university mascot.
"For Summer"
Title: For Summer
Date: September 2014
Original Size: 6in x 10in
Media: Ink pen
I incorporate symbols of symmetry, balance, duality in the third eye of horus, lotus flowers, Egyptian ankh, mushrooms, sun & moon, yin & yang. Designed for a friend named Summer where she asked me simply to draw her an elongated tattoo.
"Read the Words in the Stars"
Title: Read the Words in the Stars
Date: May 2012
Original Size: 6in x 11in
Media: Ink pen
This piece was first abstract piece that I had done as a sophomore in high school. This piece (nor are any of my pieces) are not inspired or created through the enhancement of drugs. This type of psychoactive art was the beginning to my own individualistic monochromic style of work. If you look deeply in this piece, what does it read? (Hint: Starts with a B, which is the theme in mostly all of the work I've done past this)
Drawn on the back of a notebook flap, I drew this piece with ink Faber Castell pens.
